The existing garden was tired and in much need of a full makeover including the existing pool and surrounds. High on the wish list was a much needed covered alfresco outdoor room with the resulting structure creating a timeless sophisticated garden room that seamlessly ties in and compliments the architecture of the home. The full outdoor kitchen compliments the internal decor while the vaulted ceilings add volume and scale to the experience. The existing pool was fully stripped and re tiled with the surrounding gardens framed by the stunning Acer pergola tress which create a sense of privacy and intimacy with their architectural form while being 100% pool compliant. The rear garden was terraced with long floating steps to formalise the existing awkward levels creating additional functional sun zones and a crisp level lawn.
Plantings consist of traditional palettes with the Acer pergola trees being the heroes of the rear yard, dwarf ficus pimula to line the rear fence with star jasmine asiaticum ground cover. The surrounding gardens also feature the stunning Cercis canadensis underplanted with buxus spheres and ajuga reptans. Ficus hedging and capital pears lines the boundary fences with hydrangeas, euphorbias and Stachys Byzantine used as a contrasting borders. The front yard make over was mainly achieved with plantings and similar themes from the rear were transferred through to the front with the central focal point of the Anduze French setting the scene for the garden theme.
