This entertainers garden was a unique challenge as the main garden living zones are located in the front of the home to catch the northern aspect as opposed to the traditional rear garden location. Based on this unique setting we had to ensure the pedestrian entry of the home was clearly defined so in response to this challenge we created the over scaled steps and landings along with the 6000mm long water chute. The breadth and scale of these structures are bold however they sit in perfect scale and proportion to the home and create a dramatic, bold, architectural, clearly defined entry that the home demands.
The once sloping lawn has been levelled to create a crisp, clean finish to the space while the retaining wall provides informal seating amenity for the entire family while they enjoy the garden spaces. Randomly positioned maples with feature boulders, large steppes and under plantings of buxus spheres, star jasmine asiaticum and dwarf mondo grass work to soften the hard elements and create a sense of intimacy and grounding to the large open areas.
The exiting pool and alfresco was modernised with new surrounds and treatments such as the vertical timber screen and custom green wall pods. Along with new decking, carefully selected furniture and decor from Cosh living all combine in perfect harmony to bring life to this once tired and dated pool zone up to speed with today’s level of sophisticated excellence.
